22.Virtual Staging

The Virtual Staging tool in HomeDesignsAI allows you to furnish empty spaces with realistic, style-matched furniture and decor. This mode is ideal for showcasing the full potential of a room with just a few simple selections; no physical staging or detailed configurations required. It’s a fast and effective way to bring life to empty interiors.

22.1 How Virtual Staging Works

Upload a High-Quality Image:

Start by uploading a clear, well-lit photo of the empty room or space you'd like to stage. The more visible the space, the more accurately the AI can place furniture.

Select Room Type:

Click “View All” to choose the correct room type or angle (e.g., living room, bedroom, or kitchen). This ensures the AI stages the space with relevant furniture.

Select Design Style:

Pick a design style that matches your vision. Click “View All” to browse the full range of 75+ options. The AI will follow this style when staging the space.

Add Custom Instructions (Optional):

Use the “Additional Instructions” tab to enter any specific preferences such as “add a large sectional sofa,” “use dark wood finishes,” or “no rugs.”

Check “Keep Window Background” (Optional):

If your image includes windows and you want to preserve the original view outside, such as a garden, street or skyline, check the “Keep window background” box. This ensures the existing outdoor scenery remains unchanged in the final result.

AI Intervention Slider:

Use the AI Intervention slider to control the level of AI influence, ranging from 1 to 4. A setting of 1 applies minimal AI intervention, while 4 may result in structural changes such as breaking walls.

Choose Number of Designs:

Decide how many versions of the staged space you want to generate, between 1 and 4. Each version uses 1 credit, and multiple generations help you compare different staging setups.

Generate New Designs:

Click “Generate New Designs” to let the AI stage the room. The output will show the space fully furnished in line with your selected room type and style.

22.2 Key Features

Furnishes Empty Rooms:

Adds realistic furniture and decor to completely empty or sparsely furnished rooms, making spaces feel complete.

Style-Matched Output:

Every staging follows your selected design style, providing cohesive and visually appealing results.

Effortless Process:

No need for manual item placement or modeling. A few clicks are all it takes to generate a fully staged image.

17.3 Tips for Optimal Use

Use Clear Photos:

Avoid dark or blurry images. Clean, well-lit photos give the AI more accurate spatial information for staging.

Specify in Instructions:

You can steer the AI with prompts like “add a dining table with 4 chairs” or “minimalist Scandinavian look.”

Avoid Cluttered Spaces:

For best results, use photos of completely empty or nearly empty spaces. Virtual Staging works best when the AI has space to work with.

AI Intervention Slider:

Use the AI Intervention slider to control the level of AI influence, ranging from 1 to 4. A setting of 1 applies minimal AI intervention, while 4 may result in structural changes such as breaking walls.

Use the Edit Button:

Once your image is generated, hover over it and click the "Edit" icon (third from the left) to switch to other tools like Creative Redesign or to tweak further.

Use HD for Better Detail:

Click the HD button to enhance the resolution and overall sharpness of your staged image. This improves realism and professional presentation.
